Is it hard to learn and speak French fluently?

I’m from Malaysia and I can Speak English, Mandarin and Malay fluently. I want to learn French as I’ll be studying at a university in England and I plan on backpacking around Western Europe in the future. So I was wondering would it be really hard for me to learn French?

If you already speak three languages fluently, I think you will find French fairly easy. The more languages you learn, the easier it is to pick up another one. In my opinion, French isn’t the easiest language out there, but not the hardest either–although how hard a language is to learn really depends on how different it is from your native language. I say go for it!
