If a foreigner comes to the US to live or Learn English what area or state would be the easiest area to learn?
Let’s say if i come to live in the mid atlantic area (where VA, WV,Md or Dc is) could it be easier or harder because the accent in this area?maybe if this person choose another area like new york or mid west,what do you think?

The mid-Atlantic states are fine. The local accent is not strong and it is readily understood by people from all areas of the country. New York has quite a strong accent. The Midwest or Far West would also be acceptable. It would be best to avoid the deep South or states like Texas.
