Will I be accepted in Ottawa university with my hidjab?
I’ll move next year to Canada (Ottawa) to study medecine there. I’m an Algerian girl of 18 years old. I speak Arabic, French and English. Moreover, I’m trying to learn japanese and spanish. I put the hidjab( with colours pf course and pants, I’m not extremist) but friends tell me that universities in Canada won’t accept me in spite of my knowledge, besides, I’ll never find a job in a hospital. Is it true ? Please I’m waiting.
PS: I want to study in the university of Ottawa, Will they accept me though my scarf on my head?

Hijabs are common – your friends don’t know what they’re talking about.
However, like the other poster, I find it odd that you would have been that you stated that you will be studying medicine. Entrance to medical schools is extremely competitive and most people don’t get accepted even if they have the appropriate qualifications.
If you are studying to be a nurse or a medical technician (such as xray) is something different – a terminology problem. In North America, o say that you are studying medecine means that you are study to be a doctor ONLY. Other medical professions are not considered to be medicine.
