do the American politicians Speak English with accent?
I am student learning English in China, and I aways listen the polician speaking English ,but I wonder if they Speak English with accent of their hometown dialect ,how about Bill Clinton,Hillary Clinton,Condi Rice,George.W.Bush,Obama,secretary Gates.Thank you!
Like any other American, it depends on what part of the country they are from and what their upbringing was like.
Bill Clinton is from Arkansas and speaks with an accent typical of that area.
George W. Bush is from Texas and speaks with a typical Texas-southern accent.
Condi Rice, Obama, and Hillary all speak without any pronounced regional accents in my opinion. Basically they speak what many call “non-dialectical” English. It is what you hear most American National newscasters speak like.
