Alexanders International School: An English Language School In The Perfect Location
However, unless students have first-rate knowledge of English, this may be an impossible dream. This is where Alexanders International School comes in: located in the beautiful Suffolk countryside, the school provides intensive English lessons to its pupils and prepares them for life in the UK – as well as boarding school and beyond, at university.
Alexanders School takes pupils at all stages of the year, so despite now being mid-way through, parents need not necessarily wait until September to consider Alexanders. The school’s “foundation programme for UK boarding” can be started at the beginning of each term of the school year. A summer programme is also run for those who might want a shorter course. Parents can be assured of the school’s credentials in English teaching: it is part of the SKOLA organisation, who have experience running English-language schools for all age groups.
Although better English is the primary aim of many prospective pupils and parents, the school recognises the need for a rounded education. The school’s management in particular emphasise that they value social development in their pupils, as part of a holistic approach to preparing them for life in the UK Staff and pupils live alongside each other in the boarding houses, helping to provide a homely atmosphere. Various social activities – including birthday parties – are available, helping pupils feel part of the school and make friends easily. A wide variety of sports are available all year round, but those considering coming to the school this summer will find they’re particularly well placed to take advantage, with various outdoor activities and field sports provided. The school also runs a popular English and activities course, where pupils take part in various activities alongside their English lessons.
Although English weather does not always have the best of reputations, spring is just around the corner, and new students at Alexanders next term will be able to take full advantage of some of the best weather in the UK. The setting is a perfect introduction to life here, the rural coastal location in Bawdsey, Suffolk provides ample opportunities for weekend exploration, as do the many historic towns and cities East Anglia.
About Alexanders School: Alexanders International School is a boarding school UK. It provides a co-educational education for students aged 11-17. Courses of between two weeks and one academic year are available, tailored to the students’ knowledge of English, and many students progress to boarding schools and colleges, and then to universities in England. As well as teaching English, the school offers a full academic programme and a wide variety of sports and other activities. Students can take internationally recognised English language exams and the International GCSE.
