how can I improve my english? any person or people who are learning english or native speakers?
I want to improve my grammar,vocabulary,listening,writing,speaking… and reading? please help me I need to advice or websites for it.. I know one thing.. that I hate worksheets or exercises..does anybody Speak English as a second language how did you learn? I am student for being an english teacher.. well a degree of eslt
My advice would be to watch English movies with subtitles in your native language. I assume by your name that you speak Spanish as your native language. I have studied Spanish for a while. By watching the movies you can see how the words you have learned are used in casual every-day conversations. Sometimes textbooks just teach direct translations, which are good to learn, but not always what the language you are learning uses. For example, I am learning Japanese, and I learned that “hontou” means “truth” and that “iie” means “no”. When my friends and I are talking to each other, we say “NO!” if we hear something that we do not believe. So when talking in Japanese in conversation, I would say “iie!!”. But instead of saying “NO!” they say “truth?” or “hontou?”. I learned this by watching the movies.
Also, it helps to write fake dialects between fake people. That way you can practice conversation skills and go beyond the words and sentences you learn on vocab sheets. I hope that helps!
