How should I help a teen my age Learn English?
I’ve recently befriended a boy only a year older than I am (I’m 14) from France, he knows some English but he isn’t fluent and I’m frequently confused on what he is saying. He is generous in helping me learn French (he is clearly a better teacher than I). How should I help him become more fluent? Should I speak to him in simple vocabulary and then move up to larger vocabulary? I’ve never tried to teach anyone English before.
