What is the easiest foreign language for English speakers to learn?

Any Indo-European language, due to similar structure and word roots. The easiest are Romance languages such as Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese, as they have alphabets that are almost identical to English. Next easiest are Germanic languages such as German, Afrikaans, Danish, Dutch, Norwegian and Swedish.
